Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Answers to the most common technical and clinical questions about our IV solutions and container systems.

Which drugs are compatible with the Fleboflex and Fleboflex Luer containers?
The Fleboflex bag has drug-container compatibility studies with a select number of medications. Bridge provides compatibility tables between drugs and containers in the downloadable brochures above. Contact our team for specific compatibility inquiries.
What is the advantage of polypropylene compared to PVC?
Polypropylene offers greater drug compatibility compared to PVC containers. It is free of DEHP and other plasticizers, reducing the risk of leaching. This makes it the preferred choice for pharmaceutical-grade IV solutions across clinical settings.
Do Fleboflex or Fleboflex Luer contain latex?
No. All products distributed through Bridge are latex-free, meeting the highest safety standards for patients with latex sensitivities.
Does Fleboflex have guaranteed tempered distribution with temperature control?
Yes. In the US, 0.9% Sodium Chloride solution in the Fleboflex container is transported under controlled conditions between +2°C and +25°C. All transport is carried out in qualified vehicles with continuous temperature monitoring to ensure product integrity from warehouse to clinic.
Can Fleboflex and Fleboflex Luer bags be labeled with markers?
No. Labeling plastic containers (PE, PVC, or PP) with markers is not recommended because the inks contain volatile solvents that could enter the interior of the container and compromise sterility. Use approved labeling systems only.
Can Sodium Citrate 4% be used for intravenous infusion?
No. Sodium Citrate 4% CANNOT be used for direct intravenous infusion. It is indicated only for approved anticoagulant applications. Refer to the product brochure for complete prescribing information and approved indications.
